Believing our vision...joining our mission

May 2, 2016

Through embarking this new journey with Jacob's Ladder Foundation, I am so grateful to have met Rachel Mondshine.  It was unexpected and yet not so unexpected if you know what I mean. You know, when you don't expect something to happen but after it does you can honestly say it was a heavenly intervention.

I met Rachel through a mutual acquaintance not too long ago.  Rachel heard  Jacob's story in Midland, TX while she was on a business trip.  It did not take her very long to know that she wanted to be a part of our mission.  After communicating through email, we were able to meet at a local shop here in town.  I shared with her how we want to help families with children battling cancer and what our whole vision is all about.  She could clearly see the needs that are out there through our story and what we experienced and some personal experiences of her own.  With that being said, she decided to help us raise the much needed funds for these families.  Rachel was kind enough to include us in a live auction during her April social that she has the liberty of hosting.

In just a couple of hours, she was able to raise $600.00! Money that can be used to financially sponsor another family or for care packages, games, blankets, or even help towards the cost of providing meals for families while they are in the hospital.  We are grateful to her, NMR Pipeline, and to all the sponsors listed on the invite for this would not have been possible without their generosity.  We would also like to say Thank You to all who attended the social and were a part of the event.

I can honestly say how much joy it gives us to know that there are people out there that are BELIEVING  our vision and joining our MISSION to make it all happen.  Without any of you this would not be possible.
